On November 6, 2025, the serene nature friendly Lithuanian town of Birštonas became the vibrant setting for an immersive event dedicated to the intersection of physical activity, nature appreciation, and youth empowerment: the Dare2Move4Nature gathering.  This event was organized by ENGSO Youth in collaboration with Širvintų sporto klubas, with an aim to showcase the results of the Erasmus+ funded project, inspire young generation to spend more time in nature and collect feedback on the educational materials prepared within the framework of this project. 40 youth participants, coaches and interested people joined the event.

Immersing in Nature: The Move4Nature Hike

The morning kicked off with a refreshing Move4Nature hike as Lithuanian autumn might be chilly. Utilizing the beautiful surroundings of Birštonas, this two-hour hike provided an essential opportunity for participants to connect directly with nature, ensure the surroundings are clean and enjoy the movement. This activity set an active and reflective tone for the rest of the day.
Dare2Move4Nature: Unveiling Results and Toolkits.

Mr. Gintautas Igliukas led the session on Dare2Move4Nature results and toolkits presentation. The session began with an introduction to the Dare2Move4Nature initiative, outlining its goals to merge outdoor movement, camping experience and protection of nature. The core segment involved the presentation of the newly developed Dare2Move4Nature toolkits, a resource

designed to help implement similar nature-focused camps and activities. The organizers received feedback from participants to refine these tools for maximum impact. A highlight of the presentations was shared experience from previous Dare2Move4Nature camps held in Slovenia and Romania, providing tangible examples and success stories that energized
the attendees.

Dream Camp Creation: A Collaborative Vision

The afternoon continued with a highly interactive session. Participants were divided into groups for a collaborative task: the Creation of the Dream Camp. This hands-on activity challenged attendees to apply the project’s principles and the insights gained from the toolkit presentations to design their ideal future camp, fostering innovation and ownership among the group.

Practical Skills: The Swimming Workshop

Demonstrating the importance of diverse physical activities in the program, the late afternoon featured a practical swimming workshop, once again led by Mr. Gintautas Igliukas. This part showed attendees the practical skills, emphasizing the health benefits and enjoyment derived from movement. There are more than 3000 lakes and 8000 rivers in Lithuania, making water
activities a huge part of outdoor movement. Even so, the numbers of accidents in the water arevery hig h and additional education of safety in the water requires more mainstreaming.

The intensive day of activity, learning, and collaboration concluded with a dinner, providing a relaxed atmosphere for networking and reflecting on the successful event.

Dare2Move4Nature project will continue with dissemination events in Slovenia and Romania.
